How to summarize a YouTube video
Copy the link
Copy the URL from the address bar or the Share button on YouTube.
Paste it into Framedistill
The transcript is built from YouTube captions or speech recognition, whichever is more reliable.
Read, ask, save
Read chapter summaries, ask questions with cited answers, and save quotes to your notes.
More than a YouTube summary
Full, searchable transcript
Search every word said in the video, or across your whole video library.
Answers with timestamps
Ask what the speaker said about a topic; answers point to the moments they come from.
Notes that link back
Quotes in your notes keep a link to the exact second in the original video.
Great for YouTube lectures, talks and podcasts
University lectures, tech talks, podcast episodes, interviews and tutorials are where a transcript plus chapter summary saves the most time.

Can every YouTube video be imported?
